Tip 1: Clean Spills ASAP
You can be as careful as you can be around hardwood floors, but spills are bound to happen. This is especially true if you have small children or pets in your home. That is why one of our tips for maintaining hardwood floors is to clean spills ASAP. Now, in terms of how to clean hardwood floors, we have a few pointers. First, use a dry or slightly damp cloth to immediately wipe up anything you spill. This is because wood absorbs moisture and can expand and warp soon after.
